November 2024 Newsletter

BB Header Fall 2023

Happy November, Beloveds!

I know many of us are grieving after November 5th. My heart goes out to all of us as we adjust to our disappointment and struggle with our fears. I pray that regardless of the election results, we will grow and thrive in the coming 4 years. Right now take time to allow your feelings in a safe space and remember to breathe into the present moment.

I'm very good at worrying about what will happen and making up disastrous scenarios in my head. Mark Twain said " I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened." Taking in the present moment seems a better idea as we commit to kindness and compassion for all. May we find ways to love and serve each other one moment at a time. Sending many blessings to All!

Comforting Words

If you need them, here are some comforting words I found on Facebook:

“It’s when the earth shakes
And foundations crumble
That our light is called
To rise up.

It’s when everything falls away
And shakes us to the core
And awakens all
Of our hidden ghosts
That we dig deeper to find
Once inaccessible strength.

It’s in times when division is fierce
That we must reach for each other
And hold each other much
Much tighter.

Do not fall away now.
This is the time to rise.
Your light is being summoned.
Your integrity is being tested
That it may stand more tall.

Rise, and find the strength in your heart.
Rise, and find the strength in each other

Burn through your devastation,
Make it your fuel.

Bring forth your light.
Now is not the time
To be afraid of the dark.” — Chelan Harkin

On A Good Note

By the middle or end of this month my book and ebook will be ready for purchase on Amazon! Here I am with my Proof Copy that arrived November 6th. I found only 3 or 4 minor tweaks to fix and then it's good to go!

My ebook needs a few more adjustments. It's in the Kindle store but please wait to purchase it so all the 'bugs' are corrected. I'm working with Melvyn Paulino from Fivver.com and he has done a wonderful job with the book and cover design! I highly recommend him if you're looking for someone with those skills!

I started writing this memoir in 2010. It's been a long gestation and birthing process for sure! I'll be selling and signing books at Patti Hawse's Winter Solstice Celebration on December 21st and 22nd at the Holiday Inn, 9615 Deerco Road in Timonium, MD. Please come by and see me and the other wonderful and gifted vendors!

I hope to have a link to the book here next month! Fingers crossed! Wink! Wink!
