Happy March, Beloveds!

Blessings on this sunny and up to 70° day! I'm looking forward to the week ahead as I embrace this moment with each breath; even as so many challenges arise in my mind that take me out of this moment, this breath. The illusions of future troubles or memories of past losses and grief often parade through my mind stealing my peace and the delight of this moment. I'm learning to stop and forgive myself for this bad habit and open to this quiet present moment. These days there's a wealth of thigs to worry over which can so easily take me away from being able to act with love, kindness and integrity in the present moment. I undermine myself with fears of what is not here now. The good news is this habit is fading as I catch myself, forgive myself and return to now and the appropriate action of the moment. At the ripe old age of 74 it is time for this change in my life. One recent question I've started to ask myself when I get caught in worry is; "Sherry, is this really worth it?" The answer has always, of course, no. Breathing into the present moment with 3 or 4 deep slow conscious feeling breaths shifts my attention to the present moment in my body. I open to now as I feel my body that always lives in the present moment. I share this practice with my students and clients, and love seeing them open their eyes with a relaxed yet often surprised look on their faces. Many talk about conscious breathing but adding feeling the sensation of breathing to the practice brings it more present. Thank you, Patrick Zeigler, for teaching me this. All Love February Class Classes I was delighted to have a deep heart opening All Love class here on February 22nd (see our smiling faces on the left here) followed by a Reiki II class on March 1st. It had been over 10 years since I taught Reiki II and I really enjoyed offering the energy and teachings again! If you'd like to learn Usui Reiki with a base of Usui's original teachings please give me a call at 410-598-1010 to schedule a class. This month I'll be offering another All Love Zoom on Thursday March 20th from 8pm to10pm and in early April an In-Person All Love class on Saturday April 5th from 2pm to 6pm. "I listened to the soft regular sound of his breath blending with the quiet Chanting, Jai Jai Om Jai!* Wrapped gently in the crook of his arm I gazed across his chest, watching the multicolored prayer flags flap in the air-conditioning. His golden tan made the thick dark hair on his chest stand out in the late afternoon sun. Our time together was ending and he would be off into his world again and I into mine. The intimacy we shared dissipating into the next moment of living. Hopefully the bliss of being in each new moment would grow in him and unfold more of his days in joy."

In Closing Spring is on its way - officially beginning March 20th. May we all embrace the season of blossoms and new growth with joy! I'm looking forward to the display of color nature offers and plan to go out and hug a tree! I hope your life is unfolding in joy as we come out of the winter and move into more sunlight.
